The Complete Guide to Chandrakhani Pass Trek
Chandrakhani pass is a beautiful & calm pass at altitude of 12,007 Ft located in kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh . the top of ChandraKhani pass offers the fabulous view of Deo Tibba , Pir Panjal and Parvati valley. The trek starts from the heritage village Naggar, 21 KM from Manali town. Naggar is an ancient place which was once the capital of Kullu Kingdom.
Itinerary
DAY 1 -Manali - Rumsu- Naya Tapru
Early morning at 6:00 Am, we meet up at Manali bus stand/mall road and drive to Rumsu village via Naggar and start trek to Naya Tapru camp-site and stay overnight.
DAY 2 - Naya Tapru - Chaklani - Chandrakhani Pass
Next morning after breakfast we start out trek to Chaklani base camp. It will take 3 to 4 hours to reach at Chaklani. From Chaklani it will take half an hour to reach at the Chanderkhani Pass . We can see Malana vilage from the top . After lunch and some selfies with your mate or friend we trek back to Chaklani camp site & camp overnight
DAY 3 - Chaklani - Rumsu - Manali
On last day we head back to Rumsu village from the same route through which we came to top & drive to Manali.

Things To Pack
Backpack: 50-60 liters backpack with good hip & soulder support and quick access pockets
Trekking Shoes: water proof trekking shoes with good grip and ankle supports
Sleeping Bag: Since we will be going camping, hiking and what not, a sleeping bag can come in handy to have a good night sleep anywhere.
Head Gear: Head torch with extra batteries , suncap
Clothing: You need to have warm clothes with three-layer jackets, fleece or down feather jacket. two t-shirts with full sleeves quick dry material. For lowers carry cotton pants suitable for trek. Do no carry jeans or shorts for trekking.
Raincoat/Ponchos: At high altitudes, snowfall and rain are quite common and it’s mandatory to carry a poncho or raincoat so that one doesn’t get wet.
Socks: Carry 2 - 3 pair of sports socks along with woolen socks to be worn at night.
Trekking Poles : pair of trekking poles will make the difference between a comfortable and a strenuous trek
Sunglasses: To protect from sunlight in snow you require UV rays protected sunglasses.
Woolen Cap and Gloves are also necessary as the climate will be cold. Carry waterproof gloves as they get wet in snow.
Food & Water: 2-3 liters of water bottle ,energy bars, dry fruits,glucon d ,ors powder
Sunscreen, Toiletries and personal items.
